ID 60 hp Mariner

I recently acquired a 60 hp 3 cylinder Mariner outboard from a person that claimed it was a 95. I have tried locating the tag on the unit and can not find it anywhere on the motor or brackets. Is there any way to ID a motor other then the tag?

look on the motor for a freeze out plug it might have the serial ID stamped onto it. Would be like the size of and shape of a quarter.
