I'd like to make iboats my Home Page

I'm not very computer saavy... Heck, not at all.

Google, Yahoo, and various other web based businesses offer tabs to make them your home page. I want iboats to be the home page on my computer. Can anyone help me out with this?

Hi v-h. Assuming you're using Internet Explorer, go to the IE tools bar top right of the screen, click on the pull down menu and then select Internet Options.The top of the options window is called Home page. Just type in the required URL (in this case: http://forums.iboats.com/forum.php ) and hit the Apply then the OK buttons at the bottom. Whenever you open IE, it'll come up with the iboats forum as your home page. Good luck...

Hi v-h. Windows XP is your operating system that controls the various program on your computer. Your browser is the program you use to search the internet. Internet Explorer is the browser program developed by Microsoft for Windows computers. It's known as IE for short. Give the advice in post #3 above a go. Good luck...

OK... Now I feel really dumb. But I've got it now. I'm at work now. I work nights. When I get home in the morning, I'll make it happen. Thank you again, very very much for the help. Looking forward to getting on the computer and iboats is the first thing I see!!! Thank you again, also for the quick responses.

Never tried this, but it seems easy:
Another way to change the home page is to first surf to the page you want to use, and then click and drag the icon from the Address Bar and drop it on the Home icon in the Toolbar.

Don't feel incompetent, I can't even get the picture under my log in name to show. I can click on my profile and see it, but it's not there on a thread.

Thank you again!!!... And again, and again and again.

I got home from work in the morning and had trouble with the internet... Imagine that. Took me more than an hour for a ten minute post. Had to do a bunch of work at home. Didn't get to sleep until around 2130 (on the couch). Woke up, pulled up this thread, posted, and then followed your very much appreciated guidance. Thank you again Triton II and mippel for your quick and helpful responses.
