A bought a scond hand Rapture prop and it appears the previous owner drilled the vent holes larger than original size. With current pitch (15") I dont need the extra slippage and want to plug the holes. Any ideas on how to do this? Epoxy?

A good prop shop could weld them up, but if you dont want to spend the money, you could probably rig something up with some JB Weld or something.

Perry , The best way to plug your holes is to have them welded shut and dressed smoothe.

If you don't want to wait to have them welded, fill them with Marine Tex and sand smooth. This will last for a good while, maybe indefinitely.

Thanks for the tips guys. Another thought occered to me: drill them out to the size of Mercury's adjustable plugs and buy their snap in plugs. If the holes are already to large, I may have them welded or filled with Marine Tex or similar product.
