Identification fo sorts

Another question here;

I have a 77 Evinrude 115

On my lower unit right side below the water reciever holes there is a small hole about the size of a normal bic pen, maybe alittle smaller. This same hold is not on the other side? I have not noticed this before. What exactly is this? I will post pics if needed. Thanks again for the help.

Drain hole so water doesn't lay in the cavity and corrode.
