Hi everyone, first off i am new to this forum. I recently bought an old boat and was told it is a 1972 Crownline classic, but in the engine bay the serial number plate says Crestliner, there are no other marking on the boat that i can see other than the seats have a letter "C" with a crown above it on the back rests.

Sorry for all the posts, but trying to get enough on here so i can post a pic of the boat. I tried to find websites that would let me look up the serial number but have not had any luck.

:welcome: to iboats!! Didn't you get any paper work when you bought her? Bill of sale? Title to boat? Are there any old registration numbers on her?

Just a hand written bill of sale with the serial number on it. That's all that is needed here. No old registration numbers on boat either. Near the back of the hull on the sides there looks like there was a factory decal that has been removed. If you look in the pic there is a half circle spot near the rear of the hull.

Post the serial number here. Someone will be able to decipher it for you.

It's a Crestliner. Don't know the model or year, but the "C" with crown on the seat is definitely an old Crestliner logo.

Nice boat. The hull style is very similar in looks to my 1971 bellboy. Everyone says they were good boats. I imagine that can apply to yours too.

Welcome aboard. She's probably early 70s or older so no HIN to help us out. Take a look around in HERE and see if you can match it up.

I do remember that Crestliner did make both aluminum hulls and also glass hulls in the early days. The emblem on the side appears to be an old Crestliner logo. I don't remember what their glass line of boats were called.

Not sure about the boat, but i'd definitely say its not a Bellboy. Doesn't look like any of the Bell's in my catalog, none have that half-cirle on the hulls.
