Identifying type of drive

I have a Mercruiser drive from the 1980s with a transom assembly serial number A382065.
The inside transom plate is broken at the bottom between the bottom bolts. I have no idea why.
Can anybody help me identify the type of drive I have based on this SN

The serial number is either a R or MR drive. If you look in the Merc stickys (link in my sig) you can see which one you have by what it looks like
