Identifying which carb has an idle problem on a 1994 Evinrude Intruder 150 HP

Hello everyone. I've got a 1994 Evinrude Intruder 150 HP, that I recently epoxied the carbs. for leaking. I didn't remove the main jet plug and drain the carbs., I pinched the fuel line and ran it out of gas.......shouldn't have done that. I now have a carb. that has an idle skip, it clears up once it's past the idle circuit ( about 2500 rpm's ). Therein lies the problem, discerning which carb it is w/o just tearing them all down and cleaning everyone. Does anyone know of a procedure that will allow you to alienate each carb to see which one it is? Thanks beforehand for any info.

Try sticking a couple fingers into the carb throats, one at a time. If the skip stops, you have found your trouble carb. You are manually choking it, richening the current lean situation.

Thanks Vicew. I've been a mech. all my life ( diesel ) and am now almost deaf. I've already done what you are talking about and the botom two cyls. seem to be effected the least. The other four had a definite effect and started smoking ( rich ). It makes sense to me that it would more than likely be the bottom two, given the fuel galley that delivers the fuel. All trash in the system would go downb, hence the bottom two cyls. Does this make sense to you. I appreciate the reply......thanks.
