Idiots at NBC

Canada vs USA mens hockey. What's NBC do with it? They put it on standard definition way down on MSNBC. Meanwhile, on the prime HD channels they're carrying a bunch of things people in the US don't care about, and which the USA typically doesn't do well at. Even though much of the country doesn't care much about hockey, the Canada versus USA rivalry would have given them a bunch of viewers if the coverage hadn't been put on a basement channel.

Well, my MSNBC thru our local cable company is running Lock Up Raw even tho the guide on the tv says Winter Olympics. Anyone else having this problem? Or, is my local cable company playing games with the viewers?

You really don't (and shouldn't) speak for what Americans want to watch. You are waaay off from The Hideout.

It was really a great game, but the skating and skiing were also very interesting. The Americans who "don't do very well" did very well, thank you.

Yes, I am sure Americans are sitting on the edges of their seats watching the hours of the terribly exciting curling competition they've been showing on HD. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I may be way off in my thinking, but don't you think it would make more sense to complain to NBC with your thoughts instead of iboats. Not sure anyone here can do anything about changing future programming or changing what has already happened.

I have personally found running in circles while flailing your arms around wildly and cursing profusely will also gain the same results from NBC, as posting here.

i think they should show more skiing. That is about the only interesting event, that and hockey. they have been showing too much speed skating and curling.

And in the summer they NEVER show any baseball. they are stupid

Ahhh Viva la Difference folks. I am reminded of TV time with my Dad when I was a kid. He loved Baseball so did I but he hated Football and I loved it. Never a word was complained in the summer when a baseball game was on but come football season he would grumble incessantly about football messing up his programs (and in earshot of me) what idiots football fans were. He was a news commentary junkie and I couldn't stand them mostly because they always seemed to produce arguments that never solved anything. I held my tongue though because I never wanted to be hypocritical. I don't want to make any enemies here but I'm not much of a fan of any of the Olympic games, still I want all who are to be able to enjoy them. Before long the tables will be turned and the better channels will have things you like and some else won't... such is life. I'm just waiting for the weather to break so I can get my ole boat out on the water and show them Pro Boys how to catch some Big ole fish God Bless Folks. Dave

I'd rather watch curling than ice dancing any day of the week.

Then again, I'd rather watch curling than hockey.

What I can't figure out is why I'm so fascinated with watching the bobsleds. You can't tell what the driver is doing and the announcers are all like "Oh no!! Disaster has struck. He's 3/4 of an inch low on that turn, and that means he's lost 3/10,000 of a second. A tragedy for this once proud team!!"

What I can't figure out is why I'm so fascinated with watching the bobsleds.

Because bobsleds are a blast, along with luge and skeleton. I actually stayed up late and watched womens curling. I could get into doing the curling thing. Looks fun to me. Still haven't figured out why MSNBC locally didn't show any Olympics. My area must be the only one where this happened.

Well, only those with an attention span over 2 minutes. Sorry I didn't mention Curling. I can only get 2 channels at a time on my Sony. Ever tried it??
