Idle and low rpm problems (McCulloch 14)

My carb are well cleaned,The sparks are very intensive,but it will not run at idle or low rpm,s.What can be the problem?At high rpm,s its not any problem.And i can,t find any ignitionmarks on the flywheel or crankcase.

Hey Tom, I had the same problem with my 6hp Johnson. The bushing(bearing) on the magneto armiture plate that advances the timing was worn. As a result of this there was so much play that the points were opening with an erratic gap. This may be something to check. HTH Kevin D.
