yea me too exactly same question. I can get a good idle on mine by adjusting the mixture screw but the idle is too high. If i rich en the screw up enough to bring the idle down then the idle is sluggish. I figure there should be a mechanical fast idle adjustment but I cant find anything on it. My book says to lightly seat the needle, then back it out one and a half turns. Warm engine fully, put in forward gear an idle. Then tighten screw until it idles at its highest idle and then starts to miss. Then back it off until it clears up, THEN back the screw out another 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 turns. Do this to the top carb then the bottom. After that, do them both again the same way. I do this and my idle is rough. If I don't back it off so much, it runs fine but I'm scared I may be too lean, and the idle is too fast. Does any body no if there is a fast idle adjustment.
