Idle speed for a 94 200 Johnson

I need to know the idle speed for a 94 200 HP Johnson. A friend of mine owns one and it dies at idle sometimes. The motor sounds great and runs like a scalded dog at WOT. I'm not sure what the idle speed is supposed to be set at. <br />

About 700 rpms in gear, in water.
