If there was water in my 2 cycle oil would it be obvious?

I just found a gallon of 2 cycle oil out by my boat that I thought was empty. Turns out it is about 3/4 of the way full. It has been sitting out in the weather all winter though. (with the cap on tight) If there was any water in the oil would it be easy to see if I poured it into a clear bottle? I would still like to use this oil, although I don't need any more oil accidents.

Water separates from oil. In fact, it's near impossible to merge them.<br /><br />Leave the bottle standing for a while and any water will be at the bottom, with oil above it.<br /><br />If the bottle was closed during storage there should be no water in it.<br /><br />If unsure, or if it contains water, trash it.<br /><br />This kinda bux aint worth ruining your motor
