You have to beef up where your going to mount the bracket with some 1/2 plywood fiberglass cloth and alot of resin . 6 hp kicker.jpg6 hp kicker (1).jpg6 hp kicker (2).jpg

Nice set up. I also added a piece of 3/4" resin soaked plywood inside where I mounted mine. There was no transom wood in that area on my boat. Like those adapters mounted on the motor legs. Did you buy those or where they custom made?

It works well ,I can still go out while I wait for parts on the 125. The steer bracket is called ez steer I got mine off craigslist for 150 but most boating sites have them I think I have seen them on amazon and ebay as well they go for about 300 I think. All it is are air fittings and couplings together with tie rod ends and that custom bracket . The cool thing is the shaft on the steer rod self adjusts when you raise the main motor it has detents that are adjustable. The only drawback is the controls being on the back It would be nice to have it up by the drivers seat. The 6 hp has a 5 1/2'' leg extention that I got off ebay that was a pain in the ***.I had to arc weld in a stainless extention sleave to the middle of the prop shaft, shift linkage and sweat on a 3/8 copper water tube extention as well.Looking back I dont think I needed the extention but I wanted it to be deep in the water to prevent cavatation in rough hudson river waters....
