i had a terrible virus. nothing would get rid of it. led to tons of adware problems.<br /><br />i finally went to www.bleepingcomputer.com. i used their highjackthis program and posted at that forum. after about a week of running several advanced procedures with lots of obscure diagnostic programs, my system is 100% clean.<br /><br />i just had to give these guys some credit. they do this for free, but accept donations if they help you out. if you have problems, i highly suggest you let them help. it would have cost me a lot of money if i took my computer somewhere to get fixed.<br /><br />cool thing is i learned so much about computers over the past week. here's some things these guys recommend to avoid problems.<br /><br />- run a good virus software. make sure it has updated definitions.<br />- run ad aware se often.<br />- run spybot s&d often.<br />- run cwshredder often.<br />- make sure you have a firewall running at all times.
