Ok, was about to set the timing on this thing and grabbed the distributer to turn it and I got zapped. I assume this is not normal since I never got zapped before doing timing on cars. <br /><br />Anyways, my problem is that I lose acceleration when gunning the motor. I could do as my dad says "what the hell you doing that for?" Well, if I were to pull skiers or tubers, this could be a problem.<br /><br />I checked for cracks in the distributer cap and found none, spark plug wires look OK and not cracked as far as my eyes can tell.<br /><br />Should I replace the cap, rotor and wires and plugs and set the timing? Is this the problem I am looking for?<br /><br />Thanks
