Re: Ignition coil question.

give me a mule and a carrot, no seriously i,m dumping the 350 i have and mounting a hamster wheel in my engine compartment. 150 little hungry hamsters propelling me and my doberman and 350 pound wife through the deep blue sea. waving like a crazy man to the sunbather on the beach. enjoin life baby. with the wind in my hair and the salt in my face, cursing the cub ins that sold me my boat that was tyed up to a shrimp boat 3 miles inland on the miami river. 4 times out, 4 times sea towed in. I'm gonna mount 150 little super chargers to 150 little hungry hamsters and away we goooooo!

Re: Ignition coil question.

Your comments on the engine internals and RPM's and outdrive "living", and also your concerns about detonation to me says you do understand the challenges. The mix definitely needs to stay fat and the running temps lower than "automotive".

The Volvo Penta drive in the video I posted is a stout sunnuvagun and can take about anything in front of it.. The Merc you have will probably be Ok with the actual HP power level you could obtain, but the low-mid increase in torque is what could kill it in my thinking.

Good luck on that potential project, stay safe.
