Ignition coils

Good morning!<br />Can anyone help me with with the part numbers for the coils, condensers and points for my 63 40hp bigtwin. I have a my doubts about the condition of at least one of the coils and the condensers are not pretty to look at. The motor had been rather neglected for many years before it came into my possesion so I think in the long run it would be a good move to replace all of the above components. Also,if possible, maybe you could point me in the right direction as to who would be able to supply the items.<br /><br />Regards<br />Tich

The Sierra Marine parts number for the coils is 18-5181. For the tune up kit, which includes points and condensers, the Sierra Marine parts number is 18-5002. There are a number of online suppliers of these parts, including marineparts.com.<br /><br />To find others, Google for "Sierra Marine."

Naw... <br /><br />Try keypart.com (no recomendation, just the only UK Sierra distributor I could find) for 18-5181. 584477 you should be able to get from your local dealer. I know a few UK Iboaters bought from the dealer if in a hurry, or shipped from the US to save a few bucks.
