I have a 1987 Johnson 70 hp with T/T. I know nothing much about this engine other then it runs good. Can the ignition be upgraded on it & if so, what it be upgraded to?

Re: Ignition Conversion

Thanks for the replytashasdaddy. I think I will just leave it alone since we all know how computers seem to have so many "qliches" these days. I have it on my 20' pontoon boat & it's runs great just like it is.

if it ain't broke don't fit it. that motor is one of those that has the most UMPH, for pounds of weight. keep it tuned, carbs clean, lower oil changed, impeller changed regularly, should last another 20 years.
