Ignition Key ?

The controls for my 73 135 is missing the key, the previous owner says he changed the ignition switch (at least 10 years ago) is there a way of getting a replacement key ??

if you have a local marine supplier they may have a box of old keys. There were not that many variations.

I have some extra keys. Look at the face of the switch, right where the key would be inserted. There's a number there. What is that number?

From what I can tell the number appears to be 36 buy I'm not 100 percent on that

Were all the same number keys cut the same?

36 can be a good number. If I have a key missing I take the control to the local OMC/BRP dealer. He has keys hanging on a board and so far he has found a match every time.
No Biggie.

I called my local shop and he says he has a mater Key set we can Try, I have to go that way tomm..
