ignition switch replacement

Ok I am sure it is obvious but it just isn't obvious to me.....:facepalm:
I have a 2003 Stingray 200CS. How do I change out the ignition switch? Do I have to take off the dashboard
cover, you know the pretty faceplate that covers the gauges. I looked under the dash and I can not see an
ignition switch. Some one said I have to remove the bulkhead in the cabin behind the steering station. Why do
they make things so hard to work on!

Ayuh,..... Why ya changin' the switch,..?? Lost key,..??
