Ignition

Hi,

I have a 50HP Mercury year 1979, serial number below 7143688(Canada). I want to connect a radio, so i need an ignition wire to cut off the radio when the key is turn off. Black lead to ground, red lead to battery and yellow lead to ignition. I have the wiring diagram of my motor but i just can't figure out witch lead i need for ignition. Any idea?

Ayuh,.... I believe you'll find the igntion system of yer motor Don't work that way...
You'll need to attach that wire to the red one, 'n turn the radio on, 'n off by yerself...
