I was in the local parts store with hood off my 55 Johnson to get some paint matched when this guy said "boy thats an old one". Told him what it was and he said that they use them old motors for "boat anchors". I asked why and he said "you cant find parts nowhere" I politely told him how wrong he was and he walked off. I'm sure he is not alone in his lack of knowledge. So I'm thinking, this is accually good for all of us cause we will gladly buy those old "boat anchors" all day long!

SOme people just cant seem to think before they have diareah of the mouth. Cant help themselves. Who the hell is he to add some stupid comment.

No different than the folks who want used motors no older than "10 years" because they need something reliable. Of course, they also expect 30 year old motor prices, but that's a different rant.
