I gotta admit that is hilarious!:D
Looks like you are surrounded by goof balls, who would have it any other way!:D
Glad you and your family are safe, good luck on your house and getting life back to normal.

Thanks Bruce. You know, my family has got a sick sense of humor at times and it even shows in the kiddos, nothing keeps us from laughing for too long. ;)

Re: Ike report: LF and family are safe.

Galveston residents can return next Wednesday and decide if they want to live there right now or not, it looks like a war zone.

Jamaica Beach where we live on the West End of Galveston Island is not ready and might not be for another month. We did have the opportunity to have a look at our property yesterday. We fared better than some. But it's gonna be a long, long clean up. And without water, electric or sewer for a month we had to relocate to our daughters in League City which is closer to Houston.

We are grateful for all of your comments and well wishes. I'm still trying to get my head around it all and feel deeply sorry for our friends and others who lost so much. Grasping all of this takes time but we will come back stronger with patience and kindness toward eachother.

Many thanks y'all for your emotional support during such a hard time.

LF,

I've got to admit that pic. is funny, in a sad/twisted sort of way.;)

Best to you and Mr. LF.

Keep us posted. If there is anything we can do, ask.

Cute pic, LF! And know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know.

LF, the fact that you still have a sense of humor will take you a long way. That said, I understand what you mean when you say that its hard to "get your mind around" something like this. It really is hard to absorb it all, or to even believe that it could be possible.

Hang in there, you'll do OK and will send us more goofy pics, I'm sure. The ones that can blow off some of the emotions by having a good laugh now and then, tend to be the ones that put it all back together and go on.

BTW, I have sort of a "sick photo" that I took and posted somewhere right after Katrina. It is on the hard disk of a computer of mine that was fried after a lighting strike on my house - if I manage to recover it, I'll post it here. Trust me, you in particular will appreciate the humor in this one!

I know I'm a little late to post on this thread, but glad everyone is okay from this mess. Prayers are with my friends down south.:)
This is the first time I can remember getting the strong hurricane like winds all the way up here in Indiana. It hit us here Sunday the 14th. Knocked power out everywhere. Uprooted trees, ect, ect. I was traveling home from a friends house here in rural Indiana, and came upon some folks stuck on the roadway with trees down in front and behind them. (about 7 cars). Luckily I had my trusty chainsaw, and cut 'em out. As I was cutting trees off the road, I would look behind where we had just came from, and more trees were falling back across the road. Pretty scary to say the least. I know we didn't get hit half as hard as you folks down south, so I feel for you all.:(
