So, I have been tring to get a cover on my poor old Starcraft since October. Every dang time the snow melts off, we get more.

Well at least I have the bow up

get what you can out, and cover it anyway. as it starts to thaw, and refreeze, you will end up with an ice dam in the stern and it will not drain.

i'd be all bummed if i saw my boat all full of snow....

good that your bow high. but i'd keep an close eye on the drain hole. making sure it don't freeze closed....

You have been found guilty of boat abuse. Your "penalty" is you are required to build a heated man-cave so you and your boat can stay warm and dry.

The boat in the driveway is the project im my signature.


I do go out a couple times a week and make sure the drain plug is running free. Going to break down and just go ahead and get her covered tomorrow. I would hate for all my hard work redoing the deck and consoles go to waste.

Might even stick the electric heater out of my woodworking shop in the boat to melt it all off.

You have been found guilty of boat abuse. Your "penalty" is you are required to build a heated man-cave so you and your boat can stay warm and dry.

I agree on the heated man-cave but instead of having his boat with him, to make sure he doesn't do it again, he needs to invite 15 I boat members weekly for a party and ritual to help him learn of his abusive ways........

Yes it would but we wouldn't have as much fun on this thread.......

That is a good idea..... I use a tarp and "A" frame on mine.

In the one photo with the jeep it looks like you could attach a tarp to the roof and then down and attach to chain link fence for a quicky shelter.

It is a glass boat however, I think that will divide the Starcraft Board of Directors vote process regarding fines, penalties and or membership standing.

it does not take much, 1 1/2 inch pvc, some 90* and Tees, make steep enough for snow to slide off. we only have rain here, usually. do not glue your joints, use a screw as a set screw, then you can modify as necessary.
