on a very nearly related note...the maternaty ward at Parkland Hospital in Dallas (where JFK, Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby all died - but not in the maternity ward) ranks 2nd in the nation in number of deliveries...guess what percentage of children born there in the first quarter of 2006 had parent(s) who were illegal aliens... (hint...it's between 69 and 71).

Help me if I am wrong here,but during the past six years it was the republicans and not the democrats who did their best to not stop illegal immigration and it was Bush who tried some form of legalization.Please point fingers where they should be.
Besides,these "statistics" are obviously based on very partial data and were mainly created in order to produce the desired results.

Yes, the Republicans need stand tall and take full responsibility for the immigration problem. Doesn't matter when or where it started, what matters is that they had control of both the house and the senate and the gray house when it was a known problem and they did nothing about it. The whiny bed-wetting, pants-wetting democrats (aka communists, same thing) get a pass on this one.

In fact, GW Shrub has pushed us further into adopting Mexico's short comings than most anyone knows. We are funding an $8-billion super highway corridor from Mexico to Kansas to Canada, for the Mexicans. There is a reason why the re-pukes, excuse me, the republicans have been sitting on their arse when it comes to the immigration problem.
