That happens to me everynow and then too. It hurts a little but other peoples noses hurt more.

there are many hernia's, esophagus, mid section lining. lower. all it is a, tear in the lining, which holds the guts. at this time it is a simple repair, but if the intestines get thru it, it can become and infection, and possibly deadly.

just just exactly what happened, intestines "guts" slipped into the scrotum.

Get it checked, it could be anything, even kidney stones which I just went through myself.

I had a hernia operation 42 years ago when I was 6 months old, I still have the scar that's about 10" long, they must have damn near cut me in half back then!

Well, just got back from the doc.. and he has no idea what it is. He thinks maybe a colon infection, but then again, white blood count is normal. He pretty much ruled out hernia, so I got the usual "Here, take these antibiotics" and I have a CT scan to get done. Guess we'll see. It figures I never get sick and the one time something happens, it's all mysterious and such . Maybe I'll get a disease named after me.

I had a hernia operation a week after my wife got home from having our first child. She had a c-section, cut from hip to hip, and was getting around better than me. Prepare to need assistance doing EVERYTHING for the first week. I went the laparoscopic route which he said was less damaging than traditional surgery and would heal faster. I've had no side effects from it at all. I can still lift stuff and have no pain or irritation from it. I was only in my twenties when I had it so that may have helped with the healing though.

Well, the results are in for the CT scan and it appears I somehow managed to pinch off part of my colon. It apparently happened a while ago, as the pain is from the pinched off part beginning to separate from the main body of the colon. Apparently it doesn't require any fixing, just had to finish what it started. I was offered pain meds, but I'm not big on any kind of pills, so I'll just hump it out. The doctor (who is my age) hadn't even heard of such thing, it took the radiologist to tell him what was going on. Well, at least I'll live, and without surgery. Say hello to my new semi-colon. Yay!! Ouch..

I thought I had a hernia last month, but it was just a strained groin. Still hurt like hell for a couple of weeks, but no guts were hanging out.

Speaking of groin, sorta. A few years ago I had a twisted nut(forget the technical name, maybe "torsion" something or another) on Super Bowl Sunday. I was in the emergency room watching the game. Could it have been the Panthers and the Ravens? At any rate, talk about some major pain. They did something to untwist it. I could have kissed the doctor when he was done....

Had a hernia "repaired" on my right side in '05. Complete with mesh. I'm walking around with it's twin on my left side right now. Hurts like the dickens.

I can't recall what he said was pinching it off. I was more focused on what it meant for me. Apparently the pinched off part just gets broken down into fat. I may go and nab my CT scan just to see what my innards look like. Heck, it cost me enough, I should at least get some eye candy out of it.
