I finally figured out how to get one of my cell phone pics of my '02 POS 90 hp Merc and 17' alum BB on the site as my avatar with the new software. The pic was taken at 50 mph (speedometer, 48 GPS) May 1, '07 (ambient temp is higher from last winter, so speed is off from 52 mph), and after I added a bimini top and other things which loaded my boat down. The prop is a 13 1/2 x 24 Ballistic. I know the Ballistic is considered a POS, but not so. Run one and you'll see what I mean............but they look funny.......but who cares. (Big Grin). Gonna get into this new how to add icons one of these days.

You can tell from the wake that this is an arse hauler.

Hope you are not offended.

How DARE You! I am VERY offended! I didn't get to go on a boat ride on May Day and you did. You naughty-word so-and-so you. I hope you over-ripen in a-place-that's-very-hot-and-undesirable, you blasphemous-phrase male-offspring of a female-member-of-the-canine-family. ;)

Have you seen the Ballistic 4-blades? Wicked looking SOBs. Very "Ninja"-looking.

Ballistics are on sale here on iboats. One that would fit mine is less than half price and barely over the price of an aluminum. :)

Willy gave you the pic of the 2 blade. The 24XP looks like it, just 3 blades. They cut the blades off at the rear of the hub and then cup the whole rear side of he blade, cutoff and all. Wonder what it'd do if they didn't cut the tail off? I think the Stilletto is like that; one of them. Somebody was talking about it the other day that you can stand it up on it's blade tips and the hub is like an inch off the surface that the tips are standing on.

No doubt about it, it's a fine tuned machine; very high quality, super polished, and the thin blades work.....remember the machette and baseball bat....which is easiest to swing through the water.
