Or having another memory relapse. 1994, 75HP Merc, 3 cyl. When I turn the motor off and tilt it up I get a little bit of gas coming out of the top and bottom carbs. They have been properly rebuilt using OEM parts and the float setting (using Merc manual settings) checked, rechecked, and checked again. Everything in them has been replaced. Suggestions?

Normal, my 1991 90HP does the same since new. When the motor is tilted the floats in the carbs open the needle alowing more fuel into the bowls and as the engine is not running it can only oveflow. Make sure to disconect the fuel line as the fuel will continue to flow because of built up pressure in the line. I always disconect the fuel when trailering.

Float carbs will do that. Diaphragm carbs won't. (That's why you can use a chain saw upside down.)
