I'm stumped

I can not figure out how to adjust the air/fuel screws. I put the boat in this morning and warmed it up real good. Tied off to the dock. Set the idle at 1000rpm and started adjusting from a base of 1 turn out. I ran 1 screw in with no change in RPM also back out with no change. All 6 screws gave no change in rpm at all. Then I put in gear thinking a load would be better (no change) Even tried dropping the idle speed to 600 and still no change.
It's very cold natured like a prime start issue but I figured it was because of the carb adjustment. Runs great when warmed up but I'm very concerned with the needle adjustment. I've just rebuilt my carbs BTW but I've no reason to suspect a problem with them.
Any words of wisdom.

Re: I'm stumped

You need to find the carb adjusting procedures online, or purchase a service manual for your boat. You don't want to run your motor too lean or too rich.

When I clean my carbs, I pay close attention on how many quarter turns it takes to bottom out the adjusting screw. Then I put them back at the same place after cleaning and reinstalling the carbs. After I run the boat awhile, the color of the spark plug electrodes tells if they're adjusted okay.

Re: I'm stumped

I have checked on line but can not find anything. I just do not have the money to spend on a tech manual for one procedure on a 94 motor. I thought maybe a tech would help me on this procedure. Maybe not.

If the carbs are cleaned properly setting to factory specs will make it run properly.
I am sure you will use the manual for more that just this one procedure
