First go to maxrules.com and look in teh model year guide to confirm it is a '71. Then look up the part number for the waterpump housing at crowleymarine.com. Next get it from a dealer or try to match with aftermarket parts like sierra or GLM. try ebasicpower.com

i know its a '71. ebasicpower.com had the part. i had cross referenced using other sites, but they just must not have had it.

also, the only they showed was the impeller kit, and the water pump housing. is that all that is needed?

Re: Impeller and Water pump kits

A waterpump is comprised of the base housing, wearplate, impeller and upper housing, along with gaskets and seals. We normally replae just the worn parts, which is usually the impeller, gaskets, wearplate and an oring seal. You should inspect the upper housing for wear. If none, it is reusable. If the gearcase is leaking water, replace the base housing or replace just the base oring.
