Just to be on the safe side I am going to replace the impeller on this engine - model number is 6802C 6hp - can anyone give me the correct part number and what I may need in additon to the impeller to change this out. I am assuming this is not too difficult to do? Any advice regarding changing this out would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Model 6802 is a 1968.
Impeller is here: http://www.iboats.com/mall/partfind...gd_poid=109111&gd_row=11&**********=200608056
Easy to change.
Take out the 4 lower unit mounting bolts. Unit will drop down about 1/2".
Remove shift coupler bolt.
There is a pin at the top of the driveshaft that needs to be aligned with a slot. Rotate the flywheel until the driveshaft drops down completely.
The water pump is on the top of the gearcase.
