impeller question/help

Just put my boat in the water after having it sit for the winter. Everything went great except I am afraid my water pump/inpeller not working. I have a 1993 70 force where the water is injected out the rear of the motor. There is not any water coming out now. I ran it for about 3 minutes and still no water. I am supposed to have an emergency horn that sounds if the motor gets hot but it has not sounded. Could I have another problem? The hole is not clogged up and either is the hose that the water travels from. Anybody have any ways that I can check to see if its the water pump or impeller without taking the engine to the shop or could I change the impeller myself with my limited mechanical skills? Thanks

Re: impeller question/help

Are you running it at home, or with the motor in the water?

If you're running it at home, explain how you are doing it. Are you using muffs, do you have a tub of water under the motor, etc.

Re: impeller question/help

I put it in the lake and ran it--takes about 3 minutes to get from launch pad to boat house--I let it warm up in idle for about 5 minutes before I took off across the lake
