I have a Western Auto Wizard motor model #WBA6506A56, which is made by Chrysler, its a 1965 model.
First thing is that I finally got it running *YAY* but I really had to work the choke to keep it running on the back of the 14' alum. boat... came back and adjusted the points to the best of my ability...test ran in a barrel, seems ok...but it did that last time too...seems to want to die when under a load - I'll find out as soon as I can get back on the pond.

Ok - my real question is on a motor this old I know there is an impeller, but I don't know where the water is supposed to come out of? How can I test to make sure it is working?

Also, any hints on adjusting the points? There isn't a mark on the cam, and the book from Seloc says put the follower on the high point of the cam..kind of hard to find...

My manual says the cam high point coincides with the flywheel key.Running in a barrel and not on the boat is usually a classic symtom of poor fuel distribution.Usually due to a dirty carb. You may have to check the system from tank to carb especially for clean.

Any tips on adjusting the carb after I took it all apart and cleaned it?
