Is there any tricks to dropping the lower end?<br />I have undone the 5 bolts but can't see how to remove. any help would be appreciated<br /> regards Laz
Off hand I can't tell you directly,but pull the trim tab off,as there maybe a bolt under there,and you'll have to deal with the shift linkage.A manual is a good idea,especially real Evinrude one.<br /><br />DHP
Try shifting it from forward to reverse - it might drop down a little when you do that.<br /><br />When you change the impeller, be cautious not to lose the "key" - it's what locks the impeller in place and is a very small peice of round metal.
