Impeller Replacement questions

Ok, so i've read posts and watched youtube vids about a impeller replacement and I have a question.

I have a 1986 Celebrity 5.0 Merc I/O. It doesn't say alpha or bravo on it, but as far as I can tell it's an alpha (also, I don't see a circulating water pump with the engine, and others tell me that also means its an alpha.

Anyway, I am stuck removing the lower unit from the upper unit of the outdrive. I've removed four nuts from unexposed bolts (the bolt heads are all internal to the outdrive, all video i've seen have removable bolts, probably not relevant but trying to describe my outdrive). Anyway, the four bolts I've removed is the one inside the rear anode housing (the one you need the allen key to access from underneath once you remove the anode), the one on the front near-transom side of the outdrive (where the wrench is wedged into the transom housing to get it off), and then one on each side.

I'm wiggling, prying.... It's not budging. it's just stuck there.....

From what I read, I'm missing a bolt, it should move with a little wiggling. But for the life of me I can't get it to release.

Help! :)

Ayuh,... There's 2 more nuts on the sides...

The Alphas with the Bolts are Gen.IIs... Alpha 1s have Studs, 'n Nuts...

Gear lever in Forward

the drive is already off

the op is trying to split the drive

to op: there are two nuts on the bottom, forward of the anode that need to be removed as well - as stated earlier, there are six total fasteners

Gear lever in Forward

You do not have to put the shifter in forward to remove the upper from the lower. That is only for removing/installing the drive to the boat.

You REALLY need to at least know what kind of drive you are working on before starting dissassembly, then you need a manual. Especially when you have no idea how to take it apart.
Here is a link to the OEM manual the picture came from. http://www.boatfix.com/merc/Servmanl/6/6covr3.pdf

Assuming you actually have an Alpha with the 5.0L, here are the fastner locations.
