Impeller

Just looking for an answer to a question that I have. What type of material is the impeller made out of? Is it a hard plastic or hard rubber? Thanks.

rubber, as it does not spin in a perfect circle.

Thats what I was afraid of. I found a piece in my thermostat housing. This would explain why my engine sometimes overheats. Thanks
