impellor installation

I changed out the impellor and did a over view of all parts etc, but someone told me that you should be able to blow thru one end of the hose and here air go thru Not on mine it aqint blowing iss there a valve or any way to test the valve while lower case is off, just so you do understand I tried blowing on both ends of the hose and can't get thru either way. HELP PLEASE

Let us know what brand ,model ? merc ,cobra ,omc????<br /><br />the impeller you changed out was it disintegrated?<br /> or melted? could be parts of it are lodged up the water pipe.<br /><br />Rich
