I will be replaceing the impellor on my 2000 Mercruiser this spring,it is the original and its way past overdue according to what I've read. I bought the boat this spring with 80hrs on it (it now has 120hrs) and ran well all summer...ie,cool and constant. I did buy a Seloc manual and it has answered most of my questions although the pics and description seem to be kinda weak on this one. I have seen service bulletins posted on this site that were much more detailed. From what everyone keeps telling me its not that big of a deal. Any Help?..and thanks in advance..GO STEELERS!!!

Re: Impellor replacement

You will need to ask more direct questions to get an answer. To give you an quick overview, the drive comes apart in the middle into 2 halves(upper and lower). There is one tricky bolt under the zinc skeg. The impeller is in the lower unit.Follow the manual to the T .Charlie

I guess what I was actually asking is, I've seen other post that directed you to a specific page from a Merc manual with more detail and clearer illustrations. If I'm thinking right the reply usually had a link posted with it.
