I am sure a lot of you have probably seen this if you have MSN as a homepage...

But seems that three men were lost at sea for 8 days... search was called off, and they weren't expected to be found alive... but were rescued by a fisherman...

All because of a faulty float switch on their bilge pump!

Article

Kinda scary to think about!

Scary isn't the word I would use!! I beat my brains out trying to figure out why mine wasn't getting power to it, even got on the forums to see what any one else thought why, wire diagrams for tracking the wires, and finally figured it out. The bilge pump is as important as PDF's on the boat. Any one who goes out without a working bilge pump!! Like I said Scary isn't quite the word I would use. Always fix it or find out what the problem is!!

Got 2 500gph bilge pumps hardwired to the battery. one is automatic. They certainly saved my butt the other day when i hit too big of a wake and the PO's fiberglass repair cracked.
