Impossible to pull out the bearing housing

Motor is a Rude 70hp 1977.

As I want to change oil seal, I tried to pull out the bearing housing with a puller but it doesn?t come out.

Is it possible to change seals with the housing in place?

What sould I do? Any suggestion?

You removed he four bolts holding it place, yes? If it a salty or otherwise corroded, it may be stubborn...

I mist this one, tought they had to stay to bring everything out... now I feel stupid!

Gearcase diagram only shows 3 bolts ... is that correct?

Mine has 4 bolts.

Is Silicone gasket maker equivalent to OMC Gasket Sealing compound ?
