This is noit specifically Wakeboard related, but same symptoms exist with a wakeboard.

I have a Maxum 1800 SR3 with standard fibreglass swim platform.

I have recently been doing some SkySki (Hydrofoil) riding using competition ski boats, here they have wood (Teak?) platform, and this makes getting set up on SkySki so easy with the board sitting on swim platform.
You then just slide off into water ready to roll.

When I have tried this on Maxum ... his has a dimpled plastic finish, and while dimples work well on feet, it is just so slippery when you out a board on it.

As interim, I have been laying a rubber car mat on platform, which 'works' but would prefer a more elegant / permanent solution ........... anybody have a suggestion, tip or answer to this.

You could use some liquid laytex. It comes in a can just like paint, roll or brush on and let it dry. then you have a perminate rubber matt. You could even tape parts off and make a cool design so it looks good. I would think it would hold up good. if you google search it you can get a small kit for about $20, cheap enough to get and do some experimants to see how well it holds up.

Tried a search for what you said ... all I could turn up was Liquid Latex for body paint or for mould making .... which would not be rugged enough.
Is there a specific product you have in mind ?

The mold stuff, I have used it for projects before. you just have to apply layers to thickin it up.

The Seadek stuff is awsome! A freind has it on their boat, the price is a little high I think but good stuff.
