Well Lad's

I'm in a spot of big trouble at the min . a while ago i was having trouble with a mariner 60 had no spark.I replaced the stator and then one of the lad's on here told me to try the rev limiter and it was that . took the boat out for a spin yesterday, now it's been lying up for bout 3 month's i started it at home and ran it for 20 min's took it to the river and was driving it for bout 30 mins heading back on WOT and then a massive Bang took off the cover and cylinder 3 was completly missing. Now would u's reckon the part's man gave me the wrong rev limiter ( wire's were all the same colour as original) or it was lying up so long maybe something with the oil done it also the insurance company are comin out to see it is there anything i could maybe say or not say

well it doesn't sound like lack of oil or overheat, as the engine tend to sieze from that. i will say when you blow one up, you do it right.

Ha ha done a perfect job one side of the cylinder wall is gone and the bottom part of the carb is missin pipe's electrical connection's everthing gone .. Rang up the place i got the part's from and asked the fella to just check the part # again and it was differant . He said he was out sick and some other fella was also looking for a mariner rev limiter and then someone in the shop gave ur man mine and i got his one.Wonder what his engine is like :D
