Can that fitting be replaced? I can't get air through it.

Yes, they just push in, mine broke off, normall they just twist out. It's just plugged up is all, try pulling it out and using something to push the dirt out of it and put it back in.

Does anyone know what the L-fitting replacement part # is for a 1983 150 Johnson?

Re: In-dash speedometer troubleshooting

All: Thanks for all your help!! I found the part/fitting at a local dealer. I also recieved an explanation to fix the problem. Take a small drill bit using your fingers and clean out the small hole in the front of the keel or skag. It will be below the fitting. If you happen to hit a stump or stir up some debri it gets lodged in this small hole stopping the flow of water thus not allowing the air pressure void to move the speedometer. If you want to replace the fitting it is wise to buy (2) just in case you break one. Not expensive at all and you will have a spare.
