IN-Line Fuse and when

What makes me determine when i need to use a inline fuse for an instrument or gps,fisfinder,radio,stereo?

Also, how do i determine what size fuse to use?

well you either have a fuse panel or inline fuses, everything should be fused in some way. determining size, is up to what the appliance says. read the directions for what you are working with.
