in need of new side mounted throttle control unit cable operated

Have a 1991 sea-pro with a 3.0 liter inboard.I would like to replace the cable operated throttle lever control with a newer one that will allow engine throttle only.The side mounted throttle control unit presently in mount doesn't allow throttle only.

I don't know of any controls used on a 91 boat that don't have throttle only control. Some are harder to figure out than others but there is a way.
Got a picture of the control? Or is it just broken?

wife has the camera so i'll have to get a pic tomorrow.the throttle is plastic with the trim buttons on the outside of the T and there is a button under the handle that releases it from the neutral position and that's it

Some units you have to pull the handle outward to get the throttle only function.either it`s a throttle button or you pull the handle outward about a 1/4 inch and then push slightly foward .when you done with the throttle only, pull the handle back to neutral till it reseats.

Is there a circular button looking thing at the base of the handle. That is your neutral button. Push it in while engaging the handle and it will release the shift cable and give you throttle only.
