Re: In or around the Bay Area???

Hi! I live in Cupertino - nice to meet you.

Last weekend I went up your way to Lake De Valle. Usually great fishing there, but a 10mph speed limit.

In Morgan Hill is Anderson reservoir. It's the biggest lake around here but that's not saying much. :) People fish, ski, wakeboard and tube on it, though. Summer weekends require reservations. (Google it) Weekdays are fine.

Clear Lake is a ways away, but is nice in spring/early summer. But it's shallow, and the weeds get bad as summer goes on and/or the water level drops. It's never crowded, even on 4th of July and Memorial day, as lodging is scarce.

Best of luck to you!

Most people I know go to Lake Berryessa. 20 mins east of napa, 40 mins north of fairfield.

Nice, warm, kinda crowded sometimes, but well worth it.

My fiance and I took my 8ft addictor out there on tues, had the lake all to ourselves, water was like glass.
