I imagine most people who have boats where they can easily access the inside do place the plug there regardless of which type they use. I can't think of any other reason that one would put it on the outside other than not being able to easily access it from the inside.<br /><br />If I ever do get a boat where I have no choice but to install the plug on the outside, I certainly will never use the lever type. Seems to me that is just asking for trouble as they say.
