I just cranked my 90 Ski Supreme Mercruiser 5.7 from its winter rest and the crossover hose is leaking. I tried tightening the hose clamps and it leaks worse so there must be a hole in the fiberglass silencer. All the aftermarket silencers are just single tubes and my ski boat has a crossover pipe connecting the two mufflers together in the center. My question is if I cant re fiberglass them can I do away with the crossover pipe or are the pipes connected for a reason? Thanks
