I am in the process of buying a ski boat and I have no experience with inboard propellers. Are there any resources that might shine some light on this subject.

Thanks,

MK,

Most ski boat comanies are pretty fussy about which props they put on their boats. Doesn't one come with it. THere should be a standard.

Yes there is one with the boat. I like to have an extra - just in case...

Having cut my teeth on outboards I am very comfortable with the pitch vs rpm trade off of the outboards. I need to find some place to turn so that I may educate myself on the inboards and their props.

I wouldn't put anything on there except what came on it. They spend alot of time developing the right prop. for best pulling power, wake characteristics and tracking ability.

The priciples are the same. The inboards' top rpm band is somewhat narrower than an outboard. You don't want to over rev. one of these.
