Ah, this brings back memories.... I used to work for Mazda as a technician back in the heyday of the Wankle rotary engine. At a shop I worked at in Anchorage we modified an engine and exahust system to attach to a Mercruiser out drive that a guy had in a house boat. Worked out really well. As I recall a company used to make motorcycles and snowmobiles with the rotary engines. Much smaller single rotor engines. Champion I think it was called.

OMC made Rotary snowmobiles. They were the quietest and smoothest sleds out there, at that time.<br /><br />They experimented with rotary outboards, but they never hit the market.
